I’m always looking for ways to change our home space around or make it more colourful. I made this little garland by simply knotting bright feathers onto some baker’s twine at even distances apart. We taped it above our bed to add a splash of rainbow colour to our room.
All you need to make this festive garland is a packet of colourful feathers and about 1-1.5m of baker’s twine or string.
Simply arrange your feathers in the order you want them to be displayed, then knot them one by one to the string. You can measure the distance you want them to be placed apart if you like, or just estimate as I did.
If you have hooks or nails to attach the string to, by all means use them to hang your garland. Alternatively, use some washi tape – this peels off the wall easily without tearing off the wallpaper (great when you’re renters like us!).
Enjoy this burst of colour in your living space!
